Description

Creamy Cajun chicken pasta is a bold, flavorful dish featuring tender chicken seasoned with Cajun spices, tossed with fettuccine in a rich, cheesy cream sauce. Quick, satisfying, and perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1⁄2 cup chicken broth
  • 1⁄2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1⁄4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cook chicken for 6–7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  4. Remove chicken; let it rest before slicing.
  5. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 1–2 minutes.
  6. Add heavy cream and chicken broth, stir well, and simmer 3–4 minutes.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese until sauce is smooth.
  8. Cook fettuccine pasta; reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
  9. Toss pasta with sauce in the skillet.
  10. Slice rested chicken and add on top of pasta.
  11. Stir in parsley and lemon juice; add reserved pasta water if needed.
  12. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Philadelphia cream cheese can replace heavy cream for a thicker sauce.
  • Shrimp is a great substitute for chicken in this recipe.
