- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1⁄2 cup chicken broth
- 1⁄2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1⁄4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season both sides of the chicken with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Cook chicken for 6–7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
- Remove chicken; let it rest before slicing.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 1–2 minutes.
- Add heavy cream and chicken broth, stir well, and simmer 3–4 minutes.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until sauce is smooth.
- Cook fettuccine pasta; reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
- Toss pasta with sauce in the skillet.
- Slice rested chicken and add on top of pasta.
- Stir in parsley and lemon juice; add reserved pasta water if needed.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Philadelphia cream cheese can replace heavy cream for a thicker sauce.
- Shrimp is a great substitute for chicken in this recipe.
