Description

Creamy smoked sausage and pasta made with rotini, garlic, tomato sauce, and Parmesan. A fast, comforting dinner that’s perfect for busy weeknights


Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz smoked sausage (Kielbasa or similar)
  • 16 oz rotini pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 16 oz tomato sauce
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Dried parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Slice smoked sausage into rounds and brown in a skillet until golden. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add heavy cream, tomato sauce, tomato paste, Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  5. Let the sauce simmer for 4 to 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Add the cooked pasta and browned sausage back into the sauce. Stir to coat evenly.
  7. Serve hot, topped with more Parmesan and dried parsley.

  • You can substitute penne or bowtie pasta
  • Try Cajun sausage for a spicy version
