Description
This sugar free barbecue sauce is smoky, tangy, and sweet — without any refined sugar. It’s keto-friendly, diabetic-safe, and perfect for everything from ribs to roasted veggies.

- ½ small onion, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 tablespoons avocado oil
- 1 cup sugar free ketchup
- ¼ cup yellow mustard
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- 3 tablespoons sugar free Worcestershire sauce (or tamari)
- ½ cup brown erythritol or monk fruit sweetener
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic.
- Heat avocado oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add onion and garlic. Sauté until softened, about 2 minutes.
- Stir in ketchup, mustard, and apple cider vinegar. Mix well.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, sweetener, paprika, cayenne, pepper, and salt.
- Simmer on low for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
- Taste and adjust seasoning. Cool completely before storing.
- Store in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to 10 days.
Notes
- For spicier sauce, increase cayenne pepper to ½ teaspoon.
- You can freeze extra portions in ice cube trays and thaw as needed.
- Pairs well with grilled meats, cauliflower wings, and keto burgers.
